The Sky

In many of my photographs the sky, in all its glory, has a prominent role. Not merely a backdrop for a landscape, but the main feature in the image.
A featureless blue or grey sky doesn't attract me. I wait for a glorious clouded sky to frame the landscape. A sky with clouds lifts the scene, especially at the edges of the day - early morning or late afternoon. Sunrise and sunset can hold the observer spellbound, and those moments just need to be captured, being in awe of what nature has to offer.
