Monochrome Marvels

I have had great satisfaction in creating images that capture the bare essence of a scene by eliminating colour and leaving only tones of white, grey and black, i.e. in monochrome. This representation of the world is reminiscent of the work of the great Ansel Adams, before the era of full colour photography. In some cases I leave in a little bit of colour, if the subject suggests it to me. I find this works well for many kinds of photography: landscapes, people and architecture.
